Cranberry Sauce

I went to vote in the primaries here last night and it was amazing. I’ve never voted in a primary before, but this one I thought it was important that I go. There is just something about voting that makes me feel so emotional. I don’t know why, but driving home I just had so many feels. It’s nice to live in a country where we can choose our leaders, even if they aren’t the leaders we’d necessarily choose on our own. It’s just nice that I have a say in who runs my country. It makes me feel blessed.

I know that cranberry sauce is typically something we eat during the holidays, but honestly I love it. I freeze bags of cranberries so that I can enjoy it all year. It’s a simple side dish that is served cold and tastes fresh. What more could you ask for on a hot summer day. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t enjoy cranberry sauce during the fall, but I just think it should be an all weather dish.
