Peach Syrup


In the morning when I wake up the first thing I eat is fruit. It doesn’t matter what day of the week it is, I always have fruit before I eat anything else. I just feel like it gets my stomach ready for actual food. It’s an easy way to get my stomach ready for the day. Does anyone else like to eat fruit first thing in the morning? Am I a complete weirdo!?

Once I have my fruit, then depending on what day of the week it is I’ll either have a granola bar if it’s a week day or something more complicated on the weekend.

We made this peach syrup one weekend and ate it with pancakes. I made an exception to eat my fruit with my pancakes and let me tell you that it was worth is to break my habit for this. It is definitely living on the wild side though! Try this at your own risk!

It’s so simple to make this though and you only need 2 ingredients so if you are looking for a fresh pancake topping. I used white and yellow peaches because that’s what I had on hand, but you can use whichever you like!

Peach Syrup

Yields – 4 servings

Prep time – 5 minutes

Wait time – 15 minutes


  • 5 sliced peaches
  • 1/4 cup of sugar


  1. Slice your peaches into small bite sized pieces.
  2. Add the sugar and peaches to a large bowl and mix until they are well combined.
  3. Let the peaches sit in the sugar for 15 minutes before serving so they get all juicy.
