Our party went pretty well! We had a lot of fun! We got most of the food prepped beforehand so we just had to put things in the oven to heat, which is good because I was busy entertaining 40 people. My family was such a help at the party too. Anthony’s family is used to throwing big parties, so it definitely was a huge help. I couldn’t have done it without them!
I had a great time though and now we’re eating ourselves out of leftovers. They seem to be never ending! Plus there is no room in my fridge for anything else! And I have things I want to cook! We had a snow day today and I had to limit how many things I made! Don’t get me wrong I still made pizza dough and homemade cinnamon rolls, but I couldn’t make the gnocchi soup I wanted! It’s an issue!
Since we had a snow day today, Anthony loves in indulge in a French press latte. I am not really a coffee drinker, I really prefer tea, but Anthony loves coffee and when he has time he’ll make his special coffee. It took him awhile to develop the perfect technique, but he’s got it down to a science now and I figured I would share it for you coffee enthusiasts out there!
French Press Latte
Yields – 2 servings
Prep time – 10 minutes
Cook time – 5 minutes
- 3 TBSP of coffee grinds
- 2 cups of water
- 1/2 cups of milk
- Bring 2 cups of water to a boil
- Add the 3 TBSPs of coffee to your French press
- In a microwave safe cup heat your milk for 30 seconds
- Using a electric whisk, whisk your warmed milk for about 30 seconds until it is really frothy
- Add the coffee to your favorite mug, leaving room to top it with your frothed milk!
